What we collect during a session

While a voice session is active, the bot temporarily processes:

• Speaking duration and turn count
• Voice state changes (mute, deafen, camera, stream, join, leave)
• Soundboard usage
• Voice audio, only if recording is enabled and you have not opted out

What we store permanently

• Per-server settings (auto-start, recording preferences, manager role, clips settings). No user data.
• Global opt-out list containing only the Discord user IDs of users who have chosen to opt out via /voiceparty.
• Clips (if enabled) are stored in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage until manually deleted. Clip metadata includes the creator's user ID and the user IDs of anyone speaking in the clip.

No analytics, no telemetry, no other third-party services.

What happens when a session ends

All session data (stats, audio files, event logs) is deleted from the server immediately after results are posted to the channel. Nothing is retained.

If recording was active, the mixed audio file and optional event log are delivered as Discord message attachments. Once sent, the bot deletes its local copies.

Clips are an exception: they persist in Cloudflare R2 storage until manually deleted by the clip creator, a speaker in the clip, or a server admin.

Opting out

You have several options:

• /ignore-me lets you opt out of recording, stats, or both for the current session.
• /voiceparty lets you globally opt out across all servers. Only your Discord user ID is stored to remember this choice.

If you opt out of recording, any audio already captured from you is deleted immediately.

Removing the bot

If Voice Party is removed from your server, all clips and server settings are scheduled for deletion. After 7 days, everything is permanently removed. If the bot is re-added within that window, your data is preserved.

Data location

Session data is processed on the machine hosting the bot. Clips (if enabled) are stored in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage. No other data is sent to external servers or third parties.
